The elegant 42-mm case is elevated by its curved and gracious lug design, turning Palatial Classic Big Date into an everyday-wear timepiece. Palatial Classic Big Date is further elevated by a wide selection of dials. These dials are delicate ornaments, under the sapphire crystal, chosen among the most lavish and refined materials made available by nature: hard stones. Blue Lapis Lazuli, green Malachite and black Onyx offer their unique patterns and sheen to the polished allure of the collection. 

Caliber JCAM52 is in a class of its own in the Jacob & Co. collection. The large date and power reserve indication sit on top of a finely executed movement, chosen for its reliability. Developed in a hand-wound version, it does away with self-winding in order to shave off a precious few millimeters. This slimness is reflected in the overall design of Palatial Classic Big Date. 

Caliber JCAM52 offers a classic combination of complications, aiming to be both symmetrical and effectively useful on a daily basis. Readability, availability and thoroughness of information are the very basics of watchmaking, the same ones that have inspired Palatial Classic Big Date. Right under the dial, a pair of discs indicate the date. One is dedicated to the tens, the other to the units. Once properly coordinated, they work in unison to display the date in a larger window, in a large font, resulting in optimal readability.

A hand-wound movement requires a little upkeep: it has to be wound before its power reserve is fully exhausted. The power reserve indicator is a precious instrument when it comes to wearing Palatial Classic Big Date. Once the hand gets too close to zero, it's time to wind the crown and fill the proverbial tank.
