WHY WE LOVE IT
In 1968, Patek Philippe released the Golden Ellipse.
Debuting eight years before the iconic Nautilus, the Ellipse—with its distinctive oval shape—was unlike anything else in Patek Philippe’s catalogs.
This particular example dates to circa the 1970s and features a solid 18k yellow gold case with a signed crown, a deep glossy black dial with applied yellow gold baton indices and a matching pencil handset, and Patek's manual-winding Calibre 23-300 movement inside.
Watches such as this one are fun and wonderful timepieces, and there's no telling if and when one of these in any condition will surface again, so don't wait!
OVERALL CONDITION
The case is in very good condition overall showing light sleeve polish and light wear from age and use. Gloss black dial with applied yellow gold 'baton' indices is in excellent condition with matching ‘pencil’ handset. Signed crown.
