Description
Heir to a model from 1956, this 18K pink gold watch features a precision moon phase that is accurate over 122 years. This poetic complication is finished with day, date, and month displays. The date display and hand are embellished with a blue that matches the moon disc. Its openworked caseback reveals an elevated oscillating weight in 22K gold, inspired by the Maltese cross. Indexes and hands are coated with Super-LumiNova, a luminescent material that stores light during the day and glows when in darkness. The aesthetic of this watch is a tribute to the original model designed in 1956, reference 6073. The Maltese cross, a Vacheron Constantin icon, is subtly reflected in the design of the horns. The crown is cleverly integrated into the case to preserve its clean look, while the curved sapphire crystal accentuates its retro style. Calendar information is one of the most useful functions a watch can offer in daily life. This combination of astronomical complications brings all the features of a calendar to the wrist, day of the week, date, month, and moon phase. The color enhances the information display, making it easier to read.
