Drawing on over 50 years’ experience in the development and production of professional diver’s watches, the Aquatimer family has been designed to meet the needs of those who love exploring the depths of the ocean.
Released in honour of marine researcher and filmmaker, Jacques-Yves Cousteau, this IWC Aquatimer Automatic “Expedition Jacques-Yves Cousteau” Edition Men’s Watch is perfectly equipped to function on land and in the depths of the ocean.
Featuring pressure and water resistance to 300 metres and an internal/external mechanical rotating bezel with IWC SafeDive system, this high performance timepiece has been designed to meet the unique timekeeping needs of divers.
An optimum level of precision is delivered by the spectacular, ocean blue dial, with white, luminescent hour indicators and hands, which are legible in the dark and in low visibility conditions, a date display and a sapphire glass lens with anti-reflective coating.
Equipped with the IWC-patented quick-change system, the black rubber strap can be swapped with a stainless steel bracelet in a matter of seconds. If you look on the reverse of the 42mm stainless steel case, you’ll find an engraving of Cousteau himself.
