Renowned for its collection of luxury Pilot’s watches, IWC takes to the road visiting six cities across the UK to showcase its Big Pilot exhibition and we are delighted to be one of a few selected retailers to partner with them on this roadshow. This brand-new interactive exhibition is housed in specially converted shipping containers and presents a unique approach to opening the doors to this luxury Swiss watchmaker’s world. Here you can discover more about the history of the brand and explore some of the newest designs in the iconic Big Pilot collection.

The UK plays host to the first outing of this pioneering new Big Pilot exhibition and as a country rich in aviation history it couldn’t be more relevant. The Big Pilot started out as a watch used within the military back in the 1940s and is now one of the industry’s most celebrated designs, harnessing form and function and worn by pioneers who dare to dream.

The Big Pilot has always appealed to a certain mindset of originality, so it’s incredibly apt that we have chosen it as the focus for this exciting new project. We wanted to take the story of our brand into the wider community, and the UK is an excellent place to start our tour. So many links tie IWC to Britain, not least the Wristwatch Mark 11, a pilot’s watch we produced for the Royal Air Force for almost four decades. We hope the British public will stop by the exhibition, learn more about our brand and try on some of our incredible watches.Christoph Grainger-Herr, IWC CEO

As you step inside the booth you will be greeted by a ‘Talent Wall’ where six well-known faces will share their inspirational stories of how the Big Pilot’s watch has accompanied them as they followed their dreams and journeyed on the road to success. Those on the Big Pilot hall of fame next to Lewis Hamilton include Billy Monger, a racing driver, disability campaigner and challenger; Hayden Cox, a designer and advocate for sustainable surfing; Matt Pearson, the co-founder of Airspeeder; Matt Jones, a world record breaker and IWC Longest Flight pilot; and Misan Harriman, a photographer, creative director and cultural commentator.

This touring exhibition presents the perfect opportunity for you to immerse yourself in the IWC brand, find out more from the knowledgeable staff on hand and take a closer look at some of these incredible IWC Big Pilot timepieces, and even try them on. Amongst the watches on display will be a selection of IWC new editions for 2021 such as the Big Pilot’s Watch 43, The Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41, two new Top Gun models and a Big Pilot Watch Perpetual Calendar. Pieces from IWC’s valued Spitfire and Portugieser collections will also feature.
