In our latest episode of our Calibre Podcast, we present a conversation between Faye Soteri, our Senior International Watch Buyer and Mark Toulson, our Head of Watch Buying. They discuss the latest releases to come out of Genevan Watch Fair, Watches and Wonders from some of the most prestigious watch brands.

In 2020, Watches and Wonders, formally SIHH (Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie) announced that they would be launching a digital version of their must anticipated fair, due to COVID-19 restrictions. It was the first of its kind, and was a small gathering of some of the worlds most luxury watch brands, primarly owned by the Richemont group. For 2021, with similar restrictions continued, the fair launched their second digital version, and this time round we saw a huge uptake in the brands participating. In fact, it seemed all but a handful of watch brands were showcasing through the fair, and we at the Watches of Switzerland Group were at the very heart of it.

With our expert buyers full calendars of meetings and product showcases, to our specially created landing pages that reflected newness across some of our most prominent watch brands, it was an exciting week for us, and the watch world.

From the exceptional to the unusual, the fair saw eco-friendly timepieces, pieces made from special materials like bronze and silver, coloured dials in blues and greens, diamond paves, rainbow effects, patterned and textured dials and so much more. Every brand that showcased ensure there was something to talk about, and we do exactly that in our latest podcast.
